Mrs. Sekera's Homepage
Hello! I am enjoying my tenth year as a faculty member at Penn-Trafford, teaching College Writing, English 12, and English 11. I have also taught English 9, senior English electives, other levels of English, and Speech and Debate I and II at PTHS, in addition to teaching several sections of ELA 7 at TMS for seven years and working with the PTHS gifted program. Prior to teaching at PT, I taught ELA 7 at Gateway Middle School for eleven years before taking a break from teaching to raise my sons. I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English/Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree in Secondary School Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, and a K-12 School Counseling certification from California University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest California). In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, traveling, spending time with my family, and actively spending time outside. I am a longtime Penn-Trafford resident and am honored to teach in our quality school district and serve our wonderful community. I love to educate and work with young people and hope to not only impart English-related knowledge to them but also make a positive difference in their lives!
