Mrs. Sekera's English 12 Homepage

Hello! I am beginning my seventh year teaching at Penn-Trafford, teaching Advanced ELA 7 at Trafford Middle School in the morning and English 12 at Penn-Trafford High School in the afternoon. I have also taught English 9, English 11, senior English electives, and Speech and Debate I and II at PTHS and have worked with the PTHS gifted program. Prior to teaching at PT, I taught ELA 7 at Gateway Middle School for 11 years before taking a break from teaching to raise my sons. I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English/Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree in Secondary School Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, and a K-12 School Counseling certification from California University of Pennsylvania. In my spare time, you will find me reading, baking, traveling, spending time with my family, or doing something active outdoors. I am a proud PT parent and longtime community member and am honored to teach in such a quality school district and serve such a wonderful community. I love to educate and work with young people and hope to not only impart ELA-related knowledge to them but to also make a positive difference in their lives!
