Penn-Trafford Students Enjoy “You Got a Friend Day” at Twin Lakes Park

Students from the life-skills/autistic support programs at  Penn-Trafford’s Harrison Park, Level Green, and McCullough Elementary Schools spent an unforgettable October day outdoors during “You Got a Friend Day” at Twin Lakes Park.  Schools from all over Westmoreland County attend and participate in the annual event.

Each elementary student was paired with a Penn-Trafford High School C.A.P. (Community Action Program) student who served as their buddy for the day. Together, they enjoyed a variety of activities designed to promote friendship, teamwork, and fun in nature.

The day was filled with activities from boating and fishing on the lake to rides, bounce houses, hayrides, and even a petting zoo. Students and their C.A.P. buddies spent the day laughing, exploring, and creating memories.
