The Penn-Trafford School District celebrated the start of football season with its annual Youth Night on Friday, August 22, at Warrior Stadium. The event kicked off the first home football game of the year and spotlighted the district’s youngest athletes.
Participants from the Penn-Trafford Midget Athletic Association football and cheer programs, as well as the middle school teams, were recognized during the pre-game festivities. One by one, students’ names were announced as they sprinted down the track and through a tunnel formed by the high school cheerleaders. The youth also joined the Penn-Trafford Marching Band at midfield to help welcome the Warrior Football Team onto the field.
The evening brought together athletes of all ages, and was a great way to build excitement for the season ahead.
