The Penn-Trafford School Board and Administration has announced the Students of the Month for March 2024. The students attended the March 4, 2024 School Board meeting where they were each introduced by their school’s principal and presented a certificate of achievement.
(Elementary)
Olena Kulchytska (grade 1), Kyryll Kulchytska (grade 4), Yelyzaveta Onyshchenko-Yezuta (grade 2), and Andree Pasichnyk (grade 2) were all selected to represent McCullough Elementary. Mr. Joe Marasti, principal, explained that all four students have made tremendous gains in the past year since moving to America. Every one of them has shown an eagerness to learn in the classroom while also learning a new language and culture. “These students have shown strength, determination, and compassion each day,” commented Mr. Marasti. “Their ability to adapt and overcome are sure to make them a success in whatever they undertake.”
(Middle School)
Kylee Kennelly is an 8th-grade student at Penn Middle School. She was introduced by Mr. Jim Simpson, principal. He recognized Kylee for being compassionate, kind, and always striving for perfection in the classroom. “She is very deserving of this recognition,” he added.
(High School)
Conner Alexander is a 12th-grader at Penn-Trafford High School. Mr. Aquilio, principal, spoke of Conner’s strong efforts in everything he does, the kindness he shows to everyone, and his strong leadership skills. Conner plans to pursue a career as a pilot. “Flying high is something that you’ve done here for the last four years,” said Mr. Aquilio.
