Penn-Trafford High School held “Club Day” in September. Over twenty-five student clubs set up booths in the gymnasium during school lunches to showcase the numerous choices for student involvement. After lunch, students could visit the booths manned by current club members. They were able to sign up for whichever clubs piqued their interest. Some popular booths included the PT Chess Club, which improves concentration and memory and develops problem-solving skills, the Women in Science Club, and BOTs IQ, whose members spend time building battle bots for state-wide competitions.
“This is the third year we have done the sign-ups this way,” commented Assistant Principal Dr. Amy Horvat. “We want all students to know what is available and get involved and meet new people with similar interests.”
