The Penn-Trafford High School Propaganda Team explored various types of propaganda by watching mainstream media and evaluating the influence the media has on consumer appeal. During competitions, students used the power of persuasion to convince judges that their position on a topic is the correct over their opponents. The team had its final competition of the year on April 28th against students from Greensburg Salem, Mount Pleasant, Burrell and Yough School Districts.
Penn-Trafford students Mark Harris, Kate Malley, Mya Malloy, Adithri PInagli, and Delena Steimer captured the first place team trophy. Furthermore, three P.T. students placed in the top 5 overall for their individual performance: 3rd Place - Dannica Wukich, 4th Place - Delena Steimer, and 5th Place - Adithri Pingali.
“I’m so proud of these students,” stated teacher Mrs. Wukich. “They always represent Penn-Trafford with Warrior Pride.”
