Two Penn-Trafford seniors were named finalists for the Westmoreland County Scholar Athlete Excellence Awards: Kate Schall (volleyball, track) and Danielle Tarabrella (football, volleyball).
Each of the county's eighteen high school athletic directors nominated two senior students who excelled as athletes while maintaining a minimum Q.P.A. of 3.5 or ranked in the top 20% of his or her class. A vote by the schools’ Athletic Directors narrowed the field of nominees to 13 finalists who attended an awards banquet on April 18 at Ferrente’s Lakeview.
