Some of Mrs. Christina Wukich’s gifted students at Penn-Trafford High School were able to observe a coronary artery bypass graft surgery, or CABG procedure, during a visit to Allegheny General Hospital on March 14th.
The students watched from an observation room as Dr. Walter McGregor and his team successfully completed the surgery. Members of the medical staff spent time with the students during and after the procedure to answer questions about the surgery and also talk about careers in the medical field.
