PT Concert Percussion Ensemble Earns Top Spot

Penn-Trafford’s Indoor Percussion Ensemble earned the top spot at the WGI Dayton Regional Open Class Concert Percussion Championship on March 19th at Kettering Fairmont High School.  This first-place finish is even more meaningful to the group, which was promoted from the ‘Scholastic A Concert Class’ to the higher and more competitively rigorous ‘Scholastic Open Concert Class’ by WGI (Winter Guard International).

This is the 9th overall WGI Regional Championship in the history of our program and the first ever while competing in the Open Class,” commented PTHS Band Director, Mr. David Cornelius. “We are incredibly proud of our percussion students for this phenomenal accomplishment.”
