Students from Penn-Trafford’s middle and high schools participated in a Piano and Strings Competition with students from Greensburg Salem and Mt. Pleasant in mid-February.
The Penn-Trafford students performed well with the following results:
Strings Cello
1st Place - Victoria Davis (grade 12) - “Suite No 1 In G Minor”
Level One Piano
1st Place - TIE - Jake Bogler (grade 6) - “Can Can”
1st Place - TIE - Elle LeJeun (grade 7) - “The Mysterious Benedict Society”
Level Two Piano
1st Place -TIE - Elijah Kreidler (grade 7) - “Fandango del Sol”
Level Three Piano
1st Place - Adithri Pinagli (grade 9) - “BlueBird”
3rd Place - Natalie Goldsworthy (grade 11) - “Fly Me to the Moon”
4th Place - Faiz Khatri (grade 9) - “Careless Whisper”
Level Four Piano
2nd Place - Drew Sherwin (grade 11) - “Dance of the Knights”
“All the students performed with grace and elegance,” commented Penn-Trafford Gifted Education teacher Mrs. Wukich. “It was a lovely event filled with beautiful music.”
