PTHS Students Attend Propaganda Competition

A group of Penn-Trafford High School students competed in late April at the Propaganda Competition hosted by Greensburg Salem High School.  The object of the competition was to analyze propaganda media and identify persuasive techniques using critical thinking skills.  Students from Greensburg Salem, Burrell, and Belle Vernon also participated. 

 

Penn-Trafford fared well in the individual awards with Nicholas Freilino in first place, Delena Steimer in third place, and Megan Kamzalow in fourth place.

 

In the team awards, first place went to Penn-Trafford students Nick Freilino, Mark Harris, Kate Malley, McCarthy Poljak, and Delena Steimer.  Ella Malloy was a member of the second Place Team.  Third place went to Penn-Trafford students Michael Harris, Amelia Haslam, Rachel Gill, Megan Kamzalow, and Mya Malloy.
