Lions Bestow New Bench to Penn-Trafford High School

The Bushy Run Lions Club recently presented a commemorative bench to Penn-Trafford High School.

The bench was made possible through the Lions’ partnership with the Trex recycling program.  The Lions collect recycled plastic bags at a drop-off bin at the Giant Eagle on Penny Lane.  For every 500 pounds of plastic collected, Trex donates a bench (maximum one bench per 6 months).  The Lions selected Penn-Trafford High School for their latest bench donation, which commemorates Mr. Carl Bruno who was a longtime member of the Bushy Run Lions Club and served as Penn-Trafford’s Superintendent for 15 years.

“The Bushy Run Lions believe that it was only fitting to carry on Carl's love of education and community by recognizing him with the donation of the Trex bench,” commented Lion Susie Kerr.
