Students from Penn-Trafford High School participated in a chess tournament on December 15 which was hosted by Yough High School and organized by the Westmoreland County Gifted Coalition.
Students spent the day competing against other Westmoreland County schools including Belle Vernon, Monessen, Norwin, Latrobe, and Yough. Penn-Trafford was represented well with Nicholas Truschel (grade 9) finishing in 2nd place and Josh Goldberg (grade 11) finishing in 3rd place.
