Penn-Trafford’s annual Homecoming celebration will take place on October 8-9, 2021. Planning has been in the works for months by the Penn-Trafford High School Student Union.
In the week leading up to the Homecoming dance, high-school students have many opportunities to demonstrate their school spirit, rally their football team, and celebrate being Penn-Trafford Warriors. This year’s theme is Decades; the parade floats are themed and designed by various clubs at the high school. As is customary, the students riding the floats will have candy to toss out to spectators.
2021-2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the merger between Penn Joint and Trafford High Schools, and to celebrate this milestone the homecoming parade and halftime ceremony will feature many past principals, secretaries, retired teachers, former Homecoming Kings and Queens, and alumni from the past 5 decades. An Alumni tent, located inside the lower gate of Warrior Stadium, will feature photos, spirit wear sales, and refreshments.
Ms. Stephanie Martini, Student Union Advisor and PT alumna, comments: “I am very excited to be getting back into the swing of things. It also being the 50th Anniversary Celebration really helps to bring life and community back into something I think we all missed last year.”

Friday, October 8, 2021
5:15 - 5:30 p.m. – Alumni meet for parade
Any alumni who wish to march in the parade can meet at the Penn Township Municipal Park pond parking lot.
6:00 p.m. – Parade Begins
The parade will begin at 6:00 at the top entrance of the municipal fields (by the playground) and come down Walnut Street, across Route 130, and into the Warrior Stadium parking lot.
7:30 p.m. – Football Kickoff
The Warriors will take on the Gateway Gators at 7:30. Prior to kickoff (at approximately 7:05), the 2021 King and Queen will be crowned.
Saturday, October 9, 2021
PTHS students and their guests will begin arriving for the dance at 7:30 pm. Dancing will take place in the gymnasium, and students may also congregate in the outdoor courtyard tents.
