Penn-Trafford Seniors Honored for Achievement in Arts (6-16-21)

On Sunday, May 23, four Penn-Trafford High School seniors were honored at the Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s 23rd Annual ‘Achievement in the Arts’ awards ceremony.  In total, sixty-eight students were honored from 18 participating schools.  

 

Penn-Trafford’s honorees are:

 
  • Catherine Condrac - Catherine was nominated by art teacher, Ms. Brenda Christeleit, for artistic merit in visual art.  Catherine has excelled in AP Art & Design for the last 2 years. She will attend Edinboro University to pursue a degree in Fine Arts (studio art illustration and animation).
 
  • Erica Reger - Erica was nominated by band director, Mr. David Cornelius, for artistic merit in instrumental performance.  Erica has performed as a member of the school’s Marching, Symphonic, and Jazz Bands as well as the Concert Percussion Ensemble.  She will be attending Penn State University to major in Immunology.
 
  • Gabriel List - Gabe was nominated by Drama Guild director, Mrs. Jennifer Haberberger, for merit in theatre performance.  Gabe was an active member of the drama guild throughout high school, and appeared in every fall play and spring musical with a lead role in most of the shows.  He will study Musical Theatre at Seton Hill University.
 
  • Noah Staranko - Noah was nominated by music teacher, Mr. Jeffrey Fox, for merit in vocal performance.  In addition to performing in the PTHS Chorus, Noah has been a member of Mixed Chorus, Select Choir, and Encore.  He has also participated in numerous PMEA and WCMEA festivals during his time at PTHS.  Noah will study Music Education at Duquesne University.
