🤝 VOLUNTEERING AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
Volunteering is an important part of the high school experience and provides students with opportunities to give back, make a difference, and strengthen their connection to the community. Through service, students develop valuable skills such as leadership, responsibility, communication, teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving all while gaining experiences that can help prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
All students are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of community service in order to graduate. Students are encouraged to begin completing their service hours early and to seek opportunities that connect with their interests, talents, and future goals.
Community service can take many forms, including supporting school events, assisting local organizations, participating in community projects, helping nonprofit groups, and contributing to other approved service opportunities.
